Wedding Planning and Preparation – Communication and organization are of the utmost importance when working with your wedding day music partner. GBS’s Event Coordinator, John LaPalomento, will be by your side as consultant from day one, on stage as your Master of Ceremonies on your wedding day, and everywhere in between. John has been helping soon-to-be brides and grooms plan their dream weddings for years, and has the experience it takes to make your dreams come true. You can lean on John for tasteful suggestions when you aren’t quite sure what you want, and he’s only a phone call or email away as the big day gets closer.

GBS can support both religious and non-religious services with beauty and a delicate touch. Performance offerings can be as simple or as grand as you’d like, including different ensembles and styles. Options include any combination of the following:

  • Solo Piano – Most traditional and most popular
  • Traditional Duo or Trio – Piano/Organ with Male or Female Vocalist, and Trumpet
  • Contemporary Duo or Trio – Guitar with Male or Female Vocalist, and Soprano Sax
  • String Quartet
  • Harp

Philadelphia wedding cocktail hour entertainmentCocktail Hour Performers – You’ve tied the knot! Now GBS will get your reception started any way you want at cocktail hour. GBS can act as either background ambiance or a featured performer, always keeping the volume comfortable for conversation. From a simple solo piano to a splendid five piece jazz combo with vocalist, or from a graceful solo harp to an elegant string quartet, we can deliver whatever you imagine!

 

 

Ballroom Reveal and Guest Entrance – As your guests enter the reception ballroom, GBS will impressively set the mood for the event. This detail is often times overlooked, but so valuable for getting the night started right. Your guests will know that they are in for the party of their lives from the moment they enter the ballroom!

Completely Custom Introductions – The time has come for your grand entrance, and GBS will perform your choice of songs for parent introductions, bridal party introductions, and for the big reveal of the newlyweds! Our Master of Ceremonies will professionally introduce each couple as you’ve always imagined. Be creative and have fun!

GBS will make this moment unforgettable, exquisitely performing the song of your choice. Parent dances or other special dances will be given the same level of attention. Dinner Entertainment – While you and your guests are enjoying a delicious meal, GBS will keep the music going in a subtle, appropriate way. Don’t be surprised if some of your guests are dancing cheek to cheek between courses! Options include:

Goody Blue Shoes will keep the dance floor packed all night long with our awesome selection of Contemporary Pop, Motown, Rock, Country, Oldies, and other favorites. Unique to GBS, we play mega-medleys of music to create a non-stop performance. It’s the feel of a DJ with the grandeur of our amazing nine piece band, complete with talented vocalists and a dynamic horn section! In addition to our standard selection of music, you can request additional options such as our funky 80’s Hip Hop Mix, Country Music Mix, Sing-Along Favorites, and more! If you have a favorite band or artist, be sure to let us know and we will incorporate those songs into the mix as well. You and your guest will agree…it was the Best. Party. Ever!

 

Guest Musicians – We love sharing the stage with you or other special guest performers! If musical talent runs in the family and you wish to showcase it at your reception, GBS is happy to make it happen with advanced notice and direction from the bride, groom, or other decision maker.
Room and Dance Floor Lighting – In addition to a spectacular music performance, GBS can create a visually stunning atmosphere in your reception ballroom. We offer dynamic stage and dance floor effects lighting as well as elegant room lighting and uplighting options.
Remarkable Flexibility – No matter how much planning you put into your event, variables happen! That’s why it’s so important to have a Master of Ceremonies and performers that have the flexibility it takes to run a smooth event. When the caterer is running 15 minutes behind for dinner service, or the best man is nowhere to be found for his toast, GBS has the experience and know-how to work around any delay or behind-the-scenes issue. You and your guests won’t even know anything was ever out of place.
