I cannot begin to express in words the impact they had on not only our reception, but also the ceremony and cocktail hour. Their talents are unmatched. John LaPalomento is the epitome of professionalism, and I can say with certainty that he extends far beyond his title of MC – acting as a wedding planner and friend throughout the entire process. We love you, John, and we thank you! And let me tell you about Marissa. Whether you are religious or not, her rendition of the Ave Maria with bring you to your knees. She is a true shining star, and will change the tone of your ceremony with her vocal abilities. Goody Blue Shoes is the best wedding band! I’ve been to several weddings with bands and absolutely none compared to this band. Staff at the wedding venue even commented to us and many of our guests that Goody Blue Shoes was the best wedding band at any of the weddings they hosted. The band had every single person at our wedding on the dance floor the entire night, including the guests that do not typically dance. John went out of his way to pump up the crowd and make sure our wedding party understood their role in setting the party tone of the night – this was something John did on his own and shows his experience in creating the most fun wedding night. Almost every single one of our guests has reached out to us commenting on how exceptional the band was and how it was the best/most fun wedding they had ever been to. John worked extensively with us prior to the wedding to ensure we created the perfect environment and had all our wants/needs met on the big day. The planning process with John was exceptionally easy. He took the responsibility off of us to make sure everything was in order because he was so proactive in setting up calls/meetings with us starting a couple months before the wedding. Each meeting he set a different agenda, letting us know in advance the topics to be covered so we were prepared to discuss each (genres of music to be played, song selections, day of timeline, introductions, etc). Throughout this process John became more of a friend than just the face of our band. We really got to know each other so on the wedding day it was like hanging out with an old friend. The band really cares about their couples and takes the time to get know them. We are so lucky to have had Goody Blue Shoes at our wedding and are looking for any excuse to throw another party to have them play at. THANK YOU!

Goody Blue Shoes Band is OFF THE CHARTS AMAZING! We can’t even put into words how incredibly happy we are with choosing this band. Everyone has been telling us “You had such a great band!”, “Every time I tried to take a break, they played another great song! Goody Blue Shoes literally MADE our wedding the amazing and fun event that it was. The dance floor was crowded for the entire night, and I still get compliments about their skill and attention to detail. Not only was the event perfect – several songs learned for our ceremony, including a surprise recessional with the brass instruments, but an amazing cocktail hour as well. The band learned our wedding song – IN FRENCH – and Marissa killed it. Her vocals are truly stunning. But even more than the day of the event – was the above and beyond dedication and personalized service throughout the planning process. John met with us several times and remembered EVERYTHING. When we thought we might lose my father in law just a week before the wedding, John came to our house at 8pm to meet with us, and talk over options and how we might like to honor him. He was extremely thorough, kind, never felt like a “vendor” but always a friend. He came up with compromises and solutions we didn’t even know were possible. You just don’t get that level of service anywhere else. 11/10 recommend working with GBS. Can’t wait to see them again soon – they are playing my Maid of Honor’s wedding in March, that’s how impressive they are. Do not hesitate. John and his team will NOT let you down. There is no other band you should book for your wedding! From day one of working with John, he was professional, organized, and truly cared about making our wedding day special for us. On the day of, John made sure everything ran smoothly and really set the pace for the evening. The band – the most talented and enthusiastic musicians I have seen at a wedding. They took time to interact with the crowd and completely nailed songs from all the genres we asked for. Our guests had a blast and are still raving about how good the band was. Our wedding day would not have been the same without them and we are so very thankful for John! 

Goody Blue Shoes is the best band! John was so easy to work with and one of the nicest most accommodating people you will ever work with. We heard the band play at our friends wedding in 2017 and knew (even before being engaged) they would play at our wedding… and they did! Even now, 6 months after the big day, we are still being told by friends and family how amazing our band was. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and lucky for us, they will be playing at some of our friends/family weddings. Can’t wait to see them all again! 

We had Goody Blue Shoes play for our wedding a few weeks ago, and they honestly were my absolute favorite part of the whole day. They did an absolute AMAZING job. It was an blessing to have worked with John. He really took the time to get to know us and helped us plan the most amazing party. People were dancing the entire night. They really kept the party going until the lights came on. Everyone at the wedding was begging for more, screaming, “one more song.” We had people text/write letters saying how good they were and how they had the best time at our wedding. We cannot thank Goody Blue Shoes enough for really helping us celebrate and have the best dance party ever! They are hands down the best in the business and we will recommend them to everyone!!

I used Goody Blue Shoes for a very large formal Holiday Party. We had around 600 people in attendance, and everyone had a great time! I highly recommend Goody Blue Shoes.

Goody Blue Shoes (GBS) is THE perfect wedding band. My husband Brad and I looked at a number of bands in the Philadelphia area and none was the right fit…until I met John. I just so happened to hear GBS warming up for a gig at Doylestown Country Club. I kid you not – they played 2 chords of a song I don’t happen to like (sorry John, but it goes with the story!) and I was FLOORED. I said to my MIL “I need to get their card” and they heard me whisper from the back of the room. I called John and INSTANTLY felt comfortable with him. He answered all of my probing questions, wanted to lean more about what I was looking for in my Jewish wedding and joked with me about the crazy spelling of my last name. We talked for a while! I told my husband (then fiancé!) that we HAD to go listen to GBS play a set so we could see them live. Two notes into “You Are The Best Thing” and he was hooked. We spent the next year and a half working out all of the details with John and it wasn’t just business, we became friends. We talked constantly to iron everything out and make sure we’d have the perfect day. John made SURE of that. The wedding was incredible and a HUGE part of that was because of John and the entire GBS crew. Our family and friends still (two months later) can’t stop talking about how great they were. Our one friend remarked – “we went to another wedding the night before yours and it was fun, but your wedding was F-U-N, FUN!!! because of the band. He even got John’s card! I am now a self-proclaimed GBS groupie and am currently trying to convince engaged friends to hire them – fingers crossed. I’d also be remiss to mention that GBS traveled from South Jersey all the way to my suburban wedding which isn’t around the corner. AND they are EXTREMELY reasonably-priced for a band of their size and talent. I also should mention that John helped me iron out details that weren’t even related to the band and offered sound advice and reminders that at the end of the day, we’d be married no matter what! Goody Blue Shoes was outstanding! We could not have asked for a better band to perform at our wedding. They played everything we wanted (they even learned new songs) and had people on their feet the whole night. Working with John was great, he was very accommodating and made everything easy. My husband originally didn’t want to spend the extra money on a band, but after our wedding he said how happy he was that I talked him into it! Hire GBS for your wedding!

Goody Blue Shoes was an absolute HIT at our wedding! From the very early planning stage, John was extremely responsive and helpful with recommendations along the way. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and who the key family and friends would be at the wedding. He made us feel very comfortable that he and the band would be MCing and responsible for moving the wedding along our timeline. Every song that they played was a huge hit – from oldies, to ‘90’s throwback, to country, to must-have wedding songs! My husband and I looked around at different points of the night and almost EVERYONE was up on the dancefloor! Many of our friends and family reached out after the wedding to emphasize how great the band was. The Goody Blue Shoes helped to make our wedding the memorable party that we wanted! We cannot recommend this band enough, they were thoughtful, accommodating and overall so much fun!

I can’t even begin to say what an AMAZING band Goody Blue Shoes is! After I went to a wedding they were playing at, I KNEW I had to have them at my wedding. In fact, we planned our whole wedding around their availability! For starters, they are the most talented bunch of musicians- they can play pretty much any song and make you think “wow, this is my new favorite song to hear a band play live!!” or bring tears to your eyes (which was the case during our ceremony for which they provided music for). From the sax to their vocals, everything is on point. But what makes them really amazing is how they can really pump up the crowd- band members often venture out on the dance floor and jam out with guests. Their music selection was in my opinion the perfect selection for our wedding- a mix of motown, oldies, rock, and some contemporary favorites and was truly something everyone can enjoy. They also (which is a testament to their musical talent) learned some songs in Bulgarian so that our family could dance to Bulgarian Horo, and were complimented by some of our visitors from Bulgaria that their style and pronunciation was impeccable-the entire wedding, Bulgarian or not, was up dancing to the songs! But what I didn’t realize until after booking them and what was perhaps my favorite part about GBS is that Johnny, the band director, is truly a caring and experienced wedding professional and he absolutely was the reason our wedding was a success- and not just when it came to the music and emcee duties. He acted as our own wedding “concierge” and guided us through all of our planning questions. He had many suggestions for us when we asked for guidance but always kept it aligned with our vision, and even helped us make some day- of decisions that made our wedding go even more smoothly when we had some hiccups (like when my mother in law wanted to sneak in a last minute Bulgarian tradition or two of my bridesmaids went missing- he just handled it and I didn’t even know about it until it was over!). Our guests were raving about the band and the venue bartenders were all asking for their information to play at their own weddings (now how is THAT for a compliment!!). A huge thanks to Goody Blue Shoes for making our day the “reception of the century” according to all our guests and of course, to me and my husband. You guys ROCK! Nazdrave!

What a fantastic band! My daughter’s wedding reception was so much fun because Goody Blue Shoes delivered! The dancing went on and on and on; everyone had such a great time, and we heard countless compliments about the band. They played different genres of music amazingly well! John was extremely accommodating making sure that his band played the songs that we requested. They even learned several new songs for the first dance and parent dances just for my daughter’s wedding, and they were performed perfectly! Goody Blue Shoes is one awesome band!

Goody Blue Shoes was the BEST part of our wedding! They were so easy to work with leading up to the wedding and were very responsive to all of our requests. They created an excellent playlist for our guests to dance to. We received MANY compliments after the wedding telling us how great our band was. My husband and I knew we wanted a band for our wedding – Goody Blue Shoes went ABOVE and BEYOND anything we could’ve imagined!! We got married July 28th and GBS made our reception so memorable. From the start, John makes you feel like you are the only couple he is planning with (when we definitely know it is not the case 🙂 ). He checked in with us frequently. He took the time to meet at our venue to plan some ideas, went over reception entrances/name pronunciations, what we wanted to hear in our music sets (favorite songs, genres, EAGLES chant, etc. These guys can play anything) – every single detail was covered. John was great at accommodating special requests we had when it came to our reception. The music GBS played that night was flawless. With one song after the other, we had so many guests on the dance floor. Family and friends commented how they just kept the music going; they LOVED it! My husband and I never had so much fun on the dance floor. Three weeks later, we still have guests talking about the band. You guys are amazing. Thank you so much for making our wedding beyond anything we could have ever asked for- it was absolutely perfect!!

Absolutely best band ever. They performed at my daughter’s wedding in July with so much talent and enthusiasm! They are amazing. And from start to finish, John was all about every detail. He truly listened to what the bride and groom wanted and he and the band delivered beyond our expectations. I cannot say enough great things about every single musician/singer in this band. They were not just performers, they were a part of the party…amazing! I highly, highly recommend Goody Blue Shoes!! If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

Goody Blue Shoes promised a party, and they delivered! A month later, and people are still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding. I don’t think there are words that can do justice to how awesome these guys are. If you’re considering a band for your wedding, you NEED to check them out. I’ve been a huge fan of GBS for years, so when we got engaged the first thing we did was book them for the wedding! I love going to their local shows around South Jersey, but having them at my wedding was just unreal. They were in the crowd, dancing with the guests without missing a note. So incredible. The customization that they give you is great. They learned songs for us that we requested, and even changed the words to the father-daughter dance to make it more meaningful. They even learned a song to have our best man take the lead vocal on, which was one of the highlights of the night! You’re not going to get that with a DJ. I was NOT prepared for all the little details leading up to the wedding day, but thankfully John was and he walked me through all of it! Yes, he helped me choose all of the music for the church and for the reception, but it goes beyond that. John is a true wedding professional, and will make sure that everything goes perfectly on your big day! You don’t just get an amazing band when you book GBS, you also get a knowledgeable and professional point person who will pay close attention to the small details that you may not even notice to make sure that nothing slips through the cracks. I’m so happy we were able to have GBS as part of our wedding day!

Goody Blue Shoes did such an unbelievable job at our wedding! We had seen them before at a couple weddings previously and knew we had to have them at ours. They went above and beyond expectations. How many vocalists do you know who can sing Ave Maria at the church and also sing Beyonce at the reception? (mic drop) Likely, zero.

We will forever be grateful for their talent, energy and charm with which they lead and guided our reception. Since my husband is from a musical family, at our request, they graciously let us sing and play with them for a few songs which meant a lot to us. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, through my chaotic wedding fog, John worked with me in preparing the day’s events from rehearsing family names to recommending appropriate church music to a realistic approach of our “must have” list so that they could learn songs for us.

They were a complete JOY to work with and so, so easy, which in the wedding industry – is a rarity. Goody Blue Shoes does not disappoint, I would recommend them a thousand times over and I can’t thank them enough for the fun & special memories!

My husband and I were married on June 2, and I still don’t think I have fully processed how incredibly awesome Goody Blue Shoes was from start to finish.
